What’s you guys opinions on cannabis ?

@cph I think it helps if needed, man. I have a joint every night when the kid goes down and it’s relaxing. But honestly sometimes if we’re going to play out side or with toys, etc. I’ll ask the wife to distract our 2 yr old daughter long enough for me to take some puffs and I feel more engaged with her and things just seem really interesting being at a toddlers level.

@cph So baby was 6 months old, we went on a long haul flight to see my parents

Before the flight back, one of my old friends gave me a cookie for the flight.

I ate it, watched a moderately funny movie, started giggling uncontrollably. My wife made me turn it off. I then fell asleep for the rest of the flight.

This left Mum alone with baby for the whole flight. She never complained about it, but that was the last time I touched cannabis til my kids were fully grown .... and then I didn't like it anymore

@cph Weed is legal in Canada so we have no stigma about it, cannabis is different from alcohol in that its strength isn't linear.

I mostly use edibles now, some just make me relaxed and warm and I can take em before work conferences or family meetings, I can help out feed change and play with baby on this

Some make me laugh and really vibe and I take em with friends, but always ensure I am not the one responsible for staying sober or watching baby.

Some totally mess me up and tbh I don't really like those.

The important thing is to be honest about what you use and how it will affect you, never use something you don't understand while responsible for baby.

@cph I smoke every day. Wax, dabs, whatever you wanna call it.
But it also helps me keep calm, and eat.

However watching my boy figure things out, like learning sounds to animals, or listening to him so hard to talk bc he’s right fucking there. I love it. Watching him play, or chasing him and roughhousing is much more enjoyable.

Idk. Moderation though. I dab a couple times throughout the whole day. Before work, lunch, 2 after work, one right after one before dinner. And one or two more before bed.
Which to some of ya may not sound like moderation… it it’s hell of a lot better then where I was 6-8 months ago before therapy.

@cph I vape daily but I don't really like getting stoned or high asf or whatever you'd call it, like .1-.2g is the most I'd vape and it just puts me in better mood after a long day and it feels easier to take care of a toddler and 4 month old. Again my tolerance is built up as I've been smoking for years and even though I don't get high as I use too, I still enjoy what I consider to be a microdose since I still think clearly and can easily control any emotions

@cph I live in California (although I’m from the UK). My wife can’t really drink booze as she doesn’t react well to it (she’s Chinese-American). I have wine, she has the occasional THC drink. We never get fucked up but if one wanted to go a bit wild, the other would step up. It’s never been discussed but we are subtle in front of the kids.

@cph I usually wait until the kiddo is asleep. Personally for me I usually smoke delta 8 because I can still mentally function without the side effects of that weird paranoia you get from regular pot. Like others said make sure you're just responsible with like keeping it out of reach and not driving with him etc

@cph It's like everything else, it's fine in moderation. Just don't overdo it. Vaping is terrible though, I would look into edibles, pills, something like that, because vaping will fuck up your lungs.
