What do you tell your pediatrician about sleep?

@yoshinat0r I told my pediatrician that when she had a cold I slept with her all night because she needed to be on her side to breathe better. She told me she’d rather me strap her fully in her car seat and leave it on the floor next to the bed. Like excuse you??? She said it’s “safer” than being in bed. My pediatrician is all for sleep training and now that my LO is almost 10 months I should refuse to nurse at night anymore and make her figure it out. I tell her very politely thanks but no thanks. She tells me a whole bunch of crap about stunting my child but then says if it works for me then that’s fine. I feel like it’s almost a script they have to read but then they tell you it’s fine.

@yoshinat0r I was honest and said “we follow the safety guidelines though” and she said since we followed up by that she knows the baby is in good hands. But she’s an incredible pediatrician and really is understanding when we are non conventional
