Is it normal for your S/O to take time to truly love your kid as their own?

@bgnblessed Yes it is, if they truly loved you they’d love your child as well, packaged deal and all
@bgnblessed Yes and it's normal if they love their partner's child(ren), just not as their "own". It really depends on the s/o and their boundaries .
@bgnblessed It’s not so much they take time to love your kids but they have to form a relationship. You can’t expect someone to come into your life and automatically love your child. Yes you are a package deal but how do they know they love you yet let alone this child that they probably since significantly less time with. My s/o and daughter took awhile to warm up to each other but they never disliked each other. They didn’t develop a more parent/child loving relationship until about a year ago (my partner and i have been together 4 years).
@bgnblessed It's very important and necessary for your S/O to form a bond with your child and vice versa. Depending on how long you've been together. I want my s/o to want to have a good relationship with my kid. It's very difficult if they don't like one another.
