Sitting here at 4:30 am unable to fall back asleep.
Baby and toddler have both been up throughout the night multiple times. Husband is sleeping in a different part of the house, so I had to tend to them both per usual.
Baby still wakes after 2 hour stretches of sleep.
Still has a poor shallow latch despite tongue tie revision and multiple lactation consultant visits with different people since no one can figure out why he has such a shallow latch.
Can’t nap during the day cause baby doesn’t sleep when toddler finally naps during the day.
Can’t have coffee cause it makes baby super fussy.
Have to think of what to make for dinner every day. But thank god my husband cooks his own breakfast.
I’m just exhausted and it seems like there is no end in sight.
Toddler will start day care next month but I’m sure with that there will be more stressors like sickness etc.
Edit to add: my husband doesn’t help more because he works from home Monday-Friday. He is the one that gets up with our toddler and gives her breakfast since she’s up by 7am. Then I take over at 9am before he starts work. Once he’s off work he will help give the kids a shower.
He can’t sleep in the same room as me cause the baby would wake him up. So he doesn’t hear the toddler waking up cause I have the monitor with me. He’s also very sensitive and needs his sleep to function.
