@christopher000 My son did this for I think like 4 or 5months? He’s 8 months now and eventually grew out of it himself. He started daycare at 4 months and was fine during the day, the comfort nursing we did never really caused a problem when I wasn’t there. From the research I’ve done, your baby will spit up anything they over eat if they’re exclusively breastfed, so gaining fast isn’t an issue. Also studies have shown that breastfed babies grow faster in the first few months and then slow down, so your doctor’s frame of reference may not be accurate for a breastfed baby. So my personal opinion is your pediatrician can get wrecked.
@christopher000 My daughter was in the nicu for the first three weeks after she was born... I pumped exclusively, now that she's been home the last two weeks I've been alternating between breast and bottle.. will she still be clusterfeeding at 4 weeks almost 5 weeks old? How is starting her on the breast now different or the same as if I would've from the beginning?
