@oceansealy I’m doing that with all the different sizes. Washed and prepped some used onesies, pants and pajamas and waiting to take tags off new ones and wash till I know I will need them if at all
@oceansealy Thankfully I got a ton right before his birth. At 5 wks and nearly 8 lbs my LO only fits into carters brand NB clothes cuz all the other brands NB are still too big! I'd venture a guess that he still has at minimum another 3 wks of wearing NB size. I'm very happy I gave in at the last min and grabbed a bunch of NB size cuz he's no where near fitting into even the smallest 0-3 clothes we have.
@prodie53 My baby is nearly 8 lbs right now at 5 wks and he still cannot fit in any brand of NB clothes besides carters cuz they are all still too big. A 6 lb baby will NOT fit into anything but NB clothes and most brands will be too big still at 6 lbs.
@grey1962 I use oil on her head before a bath - I let it soak in for about 10 mins before washing it well with soap to help prevent cradle cap. After bath I massage her with lotion everywhere then oil on her body (...if she's not screaming in my face by that point!).
@grey1962 It helps baby with digestion, better sleep, muscle development too. I used almond oil as I am not a fan of the baby oils. He loved them and wd would do them before baths.
@romantic2013 I'm not into baby oil either. There's just too much bad pub out there about it. Was thinking about trying out coconut oil on my little guy's skin.
@proudchristian1884 That’s real. And I also don’t like the smell of Dreft. SIL swears by it, but I’m just sticking with a free and clear detergent without all that mess in it.
@praisethelord12 I'm a second time mom and I agree with this list, including many of your specific recommendations (Ubbi diaper pail, Moses basket, Marpac portable white noise, NoseFrida). I didn't breastfeed so I can't weigh in on any of those related items, but let me add some info from my experience:
Soothers - Just make sure you get a soother that's orthodontic and you should be fine.
Infant scale - I just used my regular scale and weighed myself holding baby and then myself alone. It's not precise but it's good in a pinch.
@praisethelord12 Thank you for the list! I'm saving it, but can't use brand recommendations since I'm not in the US. if any Argentinian mother's have a similar list, I'm all ears!
@praisethelord12 Thank you so much for this, its super helpful! Can I ask what made you decide to go with that specific travel system? Its one I've been considering. Are you happy with it?
@brokenheart1 You’re so welcome! And we chose this one because it could turn into a double stroller, it has great storage underneath, and for the price.
@praisethelord12 Can you provide any additional details on the warm jackets? I'm oddly not finding a lot of coats in newborn size - more those full bodysuit things and I'm oblivious! Much appreciated.
