5 months pregnant, just found out 3 car seats will not fit in my CUV. Can’t afford a bigger car. Freaking out

@mwylcxca97 Same problem. What we'll do is put one of the baby seats on the front seat, the other one behind with the toddler. If we need to sit also an adult for short trips, it will be me (tinier than my bf [sup][sup])[/sup][/sup] and I will sit between the seats behind (not using the ISOFIX in this case so that there is more flexibility). We tested it before we bought the twins seats.
And if we want to go on holidays or longer trips we are planning to rent a bigger car.
ETA: I live in France where this solution is legal (only with a rear-facing seat + airbag disabled for the passenger seat) but please check for your country

Also I think another thing to be careful about is the capacity of the trunk. Like will it be able to hold the stroller and some groceries at the same time for example...

@swalter313 You put a car seat in the front?!? Is that legal? The instructions on the car seats specifically say not to do that. Please find a safer solution for your family.

@lasthero Thank you for your concern, we did check the safety of the solution. I don't live in the US, maybe there you have different car seats specifications or laws. Here it is possible, it just has to be a rear-facing seat and we have to disable the passenger seat airbag.

Of course if it's not allowed in OP's country my answer is not useful for him, sorry

@swalter313 That makes more sense! I’m glad you found a solution that works for your family. In the US, you cannot put a car seat up front. Some states don’t allow children to ride up front until they are at least 13. I don’t even think we have the option to manually disable airbags.
