worried

i had the hormonal coil put in today- insertion was painful but bearable with painkillers taken before hand. the pain got a lot worse when it was in, and i couldn’t sit up without almost fainting for over an hour. i spoke to the doctor and she said she wasn’t too concerned but to go to a&e if needed.

that was about five hours ago but the pain hasn’t subsided, im keeping up to date on pain killers, have a hot water bottle and have managed to eat a sandwich.
i googled it and apparently this continues for like 3 months????!!!!

does anyone have any advice, im worried it’ll be like this all weekend

@charlesstewart Has the pain gotten any better as time has gone on? If it’s staying the same or getting worse I would go to urgent care or see if you can find a dr for an ultrasound to make sure it was placed correctly

@oxtailsoup it’s not getting any worse, it’s sort of coming in waves- i’ll keep track of it and i might ring my doctors and see if they can do an ultrasound.
