Redo my stash?

I have come to the realization that some of my prefolds will never be used because they are too long. I don't snappi or wrap them. I simply pad fold and lay in the cover. Am I correct in assuming that the ones which are 16.25" and 18.5" long will never be used for pad folding?

Here is what I am using:

(all measurements are after washing)

*Nickis small prefolds 11.75"w x 12.25"L

*Nickis Cotton flats (pad folded) 5"w x 14.25"L

Here is what I have that is too big:

*Imagine Better Fit (Lg) 14.25"w x 16.25"L

*OsoCozy (Lg) 12.5"w x 18.5"L

The little guy is on medium rise in the one size diapers. Am I better off selling the bigger ones and getting more flats? Any suggestion on price for prefolds used twice or a rule of thumb on used prefolds?

Edit: Thank you for the suggestions and idea sparks. I now know to hang onto them. Might still get more flats though, those things are strangely soothing to fold.

@katrina2017 Wanted to say that you gave me an idea. Quad folded the other way my Osocozy fits. Good for later when I need more absorbancy!
TIL never post while sleep deprived. We are sleep training my 10 month old with the help of a specialist. He's an active little bugger!

@katrina2017 They do fit the other way, in my Flips, but not the ones with double gussets. Also it only fits with the middle getting the most layers which is fine for a girl, but not a boy. I wish I had measured before hand 😞. I'm also not completely sure if will fit my pockets on large rise. I should check though! Do you know how long inserts for long rises are?

@dussehra I padfold flats that are roughly 28" square, so around 14". I use Flip, Thirsties, and occasionally Nicki's all on the tallest rise. I know that people are able to use medium GMD prefolds and those are listed at 15.5". They are a little long but do fit especially on the baby vs just laying in the cover. I think that's the max you'd want to go.

@misterboy It's less bulky to do that with the flats. My guy doesn't like bulk on his front. I could be imagining it to be less bulky with flats though. But with 12 layers, I haven't had to newspaper fold for absorbancy, at least for now.

Edit: I thought newspaper fold was safari fold. I'll try that with them. Thank you for the idea!
