On a first-name basis with 2-yo

@stop_cern_idea At this point I'd be ecstatic if she called me by my first name. She's 22 months old and hasn't managed to say "mama" in any meaningful way. She can say the syllables but whenever someone points at me and says "Who's that?" or "Where's mama?" we get a blank stare.

She says a bunch of other words and is getting way better at expressing herself but... no mama.

@eliyahu777 Maybe the blank stare means "duh!" It could be that there's no need to say "mama." You are there for her. You take care of her needs. If she wants to show you something, she'll just show it. Etc. No need to address you by "name." Some kids are pretty pragmatic.
