@diamondoutofdust Ugh… not only in the US, but in other countries to still is a problem. The last company I was employed at HR told me I could pump kn the shower room. That room had a shower, a sink, a chair and one big old cleaning cart with trash bins (you know the kind you see office cleaners push around with their stuff). After doing that 1 time I decided I won’t be doing that again. Next few times I walked into any empty meeting rooms with curtains. Sat there and pumped with curtains closed. No one ever said anything about it. Luckily I didn’t need to pump often at the office: first child was born during the panini and now with the second I don’t work there anymore. Now, while I’m in the process of selecting my next freelance assignment, I ask what kind of accommodations they have. It’s usually the bare minimum, just enough to be compliant with the law.
