Does anyone else have a BBB List? The "Before Baby Bucket List"?

My husband and I are going to start trying in September and we've agreed not to discuss too much baby stuff before then (which is so so hard for me) and just enjoy the summer while crossing off items on our BBB list.

We didn't really get to do much college stuff because we married right out of high school, went to community college and started working. We're taking the summer to try and get all of those experiences before baby comes along! Even though we are total homebodies and introverts.

So far we've:
  1. Gone to a real house-party
  2. Made edibles (we live in Washington)
  3. Stayed up past midnight playing video games
  4. Went to a beach party where there were guys calling eachother "bro", alchohol and campfires
  5. Went all three days to a festival and didn't worry about how much money we were spending
  6. Set up a Money Market account and directed a portion of my check to be deposited into it each month. We've saved more in that account then we've ever been able to do trying on our own!
Things still on our list:
  1. Go kayaking
  2. Eat at an 24/7 breakfast place after midnight
  3. See a drag show
  4. Sunset campfire at the beach
  5. Play tourist in a couple towns over
  6. Learn a new hobby
  7. River float!
  8. ???
Do you have a BBB list? (we call it the Triple B List).

What's on your list? Anything you can think of that we should add to our list?

@gupta The one remaining thing on our list is to go to Disney World, which we're doing in September.

However we won't be TTC right away after our trip: our list also includes buying a house, which we've done, but requires me to change jobs. We expect to move in October and I'll start looking for work right away. Once I have a job, that's pretty much our to do list all checked off...

One thing that was on our list that was a lot of fun was going to the local cinema's all night film-a-thon where everyone came in pajamas and we watched movies like Clueless, Risky Business, Pretty in Pink, etc.

@dorsettmm Disney World is on our list too but I don't think we'll make it, that's okay, though, lot's of other fun stuff to do. I hope you guys have a blast!

Love Clueless! That does sound like a lot of fun :)

@gupta Our list including having jobs that were careers, buying a home or at least having a stable residence, twice a year (at least) traveling/vacation, being in a financial situation where all bills can be paid with one of our incomes.

Those were our big ones and in general building a secure marriage/partnership by having several difficult conversations about money priorities and parenting ideas.

@briannas That sounds like our list of requirements as well, but this list is more about fun! We checked everything off on our requirements list before we even considered ourselves as "waiting to try".

I hope you have a couple of fun things on a list too :)

@gupta I guess my fun pre TTC list is my everyday life without kids. Like staying up till midnight playing video games, eating edibles and going to a house parties are just weekend events for us.

@briannas I should give you a list of the things we do for fun and we can trade for a few months haha!

We go to bed at 8:30ish most nights, 9:30 on weekends. This is pretty adventures for us.

What other things are weekend events for you? I bet I could add some to our list!

@gupta So far we have..

*Stay at a bed and breakfast
*All you can eat pancakes at 24 hour breakfast joint after midnight
*Universal (harry potter)
*Watch the sunset on the beach with blankets and picnic
*visit Lake louise - Alberta (going to alberta in september!)
*visit bruce penninsula

24hr breakfast idea was from you ;) hoping to add to the list but it's a work in progress lol SO is game for almost anything

@gupta Hmm I guess we haven't sat down and made one but we have talked about the following:
  1. Enjoy our pool for at least one summer while married (without being pregnant or with kids) because a pool isn't the same without a fruity alcoholic beverage in hand!
  2. We have a few weddings we want to enjoy this year. Most of our friends are now married so we are soaking up the last few friend-weddings.
  3. I really want to go on one more trip with my husband before kids. We have talked about an Alaskan Cruise or even Disney World but we are trying to save money so that's unlikely...
  4. Finish our fixer upper. I don't want to be breathing in anything while pregnant and also it will be so nice to bring a baby home to a finished house.

@katrina2017 Ha of course not! But pregnancy does and I feel like I'll be spending less time relaxing and more time making sure my child doesn't drown. Children are such a buzzkill...haha.

@gupta Hubby and I really aren't partying or drinking people, and pretty much everything we do I can imagine being able to take a kid too.
We did however go to Japan on our honeymoon as that was the only place on our list of big holiday places I couldn't envisage taking a child to!

@koroman Same with us, most of what we do could be done with a baby.

So we picked out some stuff we would never do just to experience it before baby.

I bet Japan was beautiful!
