Pregnancy after T incision

Hello! I am pregnant 10 months post my last c section. My previous c section was emergent and I needed a T incision. I went to my intake appt today and the nurse practitioner was not happy that I am pregnant again. She recommended I terminate the pregnancy because of the increased risk of placenta abruption. I acknowledge the reality and risk of the situation but I am not wanting to have an abortion since I’ve always wanted 2 children.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and can offer up advice on how they made their decision? Thanks!

(A little backstory, I tried 2 different birth control pills and they completely stopped my milk supply. I got an IUD put in as well, but after almost 2 months of constant bleeding and discomfort to the point of passing out I had it removed, so I did try to be proactive. I tracked my ovulation daily with urine tests and stopped having sex when it would show positive, and used condoms 99% of the time. I must have just had some slip up one time).

@uilenroc Regardless of the type of C section it is recommended that you wait at least 18 months between deliveries. So you would just make that cut off. You are likely not eligible for a trial of labour with this pregnancy and would require repeat c section due to the higher risk of uterine rupture with the T incision. Genuinely I would get an OB opinion over a nurse practitioner. Or speak with your family physician first. (I know in some countries family medicine follows until fairly late in preg so I don’t know where you’re located). Regardless you need an OB because you need c section counselling at the minimum.
