I did a comparison of all the big brand name formula prices...and the imported stuff are actually cheaper?

Had no idea the likes of Kendamil, Aptamil are cheaper than Similac and Enfamil, guess the price increase on Enfamil at costco a month ago really did change things a bit.

Please comment if you see cheaper prices than the ones listed in the table above, I will edit it in. I'm not gonna take into account coupons or sketchy stores though for the sake of simplicity.

If you want me to add any other brands, let me know.

PS: My kid drinks Kendamil if anyone cares.

@bobf1009 Adding store-brand formula to the list would be great, as it is usually chosen due to price competitiveness -- ex: Kirkland procare, target up&up, sams club members mark.

@n1gger True, and a great point. Because the major store brands are the same manufacturer, its really easy for a baby to hop between them. The cost per oz seems to be pretty different between major retailers, though, so I like how OP split them out for the purposes of this table

@bobf1009 Palm oil prices went up in May so my guess was that enfamil is finally factoring that in. The refill packs have gone up $10 in Canada since I started using them in January.

@emmarona I think palm oil is considered not that great for babies right? Maybe they will finally remove it, I know Similac and the imported stuff don't have it.

@rylez98 Nope, formula is just more expensive in the US than the UK. Don't you guys also have kendamil for 15 quid or something? It's $34 here and even then it's cheaper than the big brand US stuff. Aptamil is $30 here vs your 11 quid....yeah it's crazy

@bobf1009 God that’s extortionate! I always assume bigger cans. I’ve never used Kendamil but google tells me £11 for the classic and £14 for the organic.

I’m lucky as my son has CMPA so his special Aptamil milk is free on prescription. People seem to struggle to get that sort of milk even without a shortage.

@bobf1009 I think formula mom on Instagram said per oz kendamil is cheaper as it’s a 900g tin and it’s 1 scoop per oz. So overall it works out cheaper. I never did the math though

@bobf1009 Yep, we use Member’s Mark and Up and Up Gentle formulas. We found out Parent’s Choice is in fact NOT THE SAME. Looks different, smells different, different scoop size. Seems to be a recent change others have commented on here before. Caused our boy to have massive constipation so we had to donate our unused Parent’s Choice to a good home.
