@pleed It might also be worth pointing out to your husband that most modern air-con units have filters in them to prevent dust and germs from circulating with the air, so in a way it's probably healthier to have it going than not.
And sorry, it wasn't the A/C unit at the daycare that got the baby sick, it was the other children coughing/sneezing/slobbering in proximity to the baby. Kids get sick, that's just reality and is something he's going to have to come to terms with because it's part of being a parent. I think part of the reason that he's fixating on the A/C is not just because of superstition, but that's also something that he feels he can have some control over. Not particularly rational, but that's anxiety for you.
