Ex taking son to Disney for birthday

@vescd I think it’s wonderful how supportive you are. Please don’t let your gf get in the middle of the relationship you have with your ex and your kiddo. I don’t think you will, but she might have some other trauma that’s clouding her judgement (putting the clues together based on comments)

I’m the mom in this situation and they vacation with their dad separately. The only complaint they’ve ever had is that they wish their dad spent more time with them on their vacations, but they get to see cousins so it’s a wash at the end of the day.

They truly don’t resent their dad for not taking them on huge vacations. Their father and I are trying to coordinate a big Disney world trip together for them maybe in a few years. If anything, they expect ME to give them the same vacations or better

Regarding the issues with your kiddo, if you haven’t already, ask him how he’s feeling. I noticed it did my kiddo that was a similar age at the time a world of difference to talk about his feelings.
