How much would you expect to watch twins (1 y/o) for 3-4 days?

My husband and I are going out of the country next month for eight days. My mama and the twins’ godmama will alternate days caring for the girls.

Neither of them expects payment, but it wouldn't feel right if we didn't pay.

How much is appropriate?

ETA: They will be in daycare from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

@djseb What about a gift like a spa day? My mom/mil wouldn’t accept a payment in cash form

@djseb My mom doesn’t accept money as payment either. I bought her a pair of shoes and a new pillow. Very random but things she wanted or would use are always good as payment.

@djseb We are hiring a sitter for 24 hrs and we are paying 23$ /hr plus a door dash gift card plus I’ll probably leave a nice tip if it goes well. Watching kids that wake up at night is brutal :/

For family I’d offer a spa gift card or other gift if you know what they like and a personal Thank You, like a hand painted card from the twins.
