Do we stay, safe, or move and risk everything?

@dixiegospel Hi! I live in Wisconsin (not Superior but I have been there) and love it. Just know that Northern Wisconsin is very conservative and probably more similar to the Bible Belt than you expect. Basically, the further north you go in the state the more conservative it gets. And you can’t go more north than Superior.

And the rural area might be more difficult than you anticipate. Superior is going to feel very small and insular compared to Charlotte. Spring, summer, and fall are amazing. Perfect, really. And up there along Lake Superior is stunning. If you like hunting, boating, hiking, or fishing you will probably love it. Winter, though, is long and brutal. Like, schools closings in early April due to winter storms and temps of -40 in February is not unheard of or surprising. Not trying to scare you off but really look into all aspects of your life before deciding.

Also, if you do decide to move, consider Duluth, MN as well. MN has some more progressive legislation (if that is more your vibe). It’s also a cooler city and literally right across the border. Good luck with whatever you decide!
