Says my partner’s grandma every other day.

I’m sorry, what do you think my boob juice is mainly comprised of?

@sos2 Ugh yes my mother tried to give my baby boiled water at a month old without asking, he refused the bottle but seriously what's the obsession?

@sos2 My boyfriend has asked me several times since our baby was born if she needs to drink water. I keep telling him breast milk is mostly water but he still tries to find videos on YouTube about it. He's always trying to prove me wrong about stuff. It's so irritating.

@neverquit I have heard of that before but not sure what the reasoning is. Like my baby isn’t a hummingbird I think the breast milk is just fine.

@sos2 For me, it’s rice water from my grandma and mom.

They get so offended when I’m like yeah I not gonna be doing that and say “you all turned out fine” 🙄🙄

@sos2 My MIL constantly saying rice cereal in milk to “make him more full so he sleeps longer.” No, he’s full on my milk and sleeps just fine at night thanks. And her constantly saying she used to dip my husbands & his siblings paci’s in syrup/jelly whatever & feeding them rice cereal with spoons at a month old 🙄

@susannjenga My baby isn't even here yet and if my mom "suggests" putting rice cereal in my baby's bottle one more time, I'm going to lose it on her. And I won't feel bad about it.

@susannjenga I honestly think the whole rice cereal thing to make them sleep longer is kind of messed up and selfish. It’s basically junk food for a newborn and that’s just not for me.

@sos2 Agreed. I’m all for following dr recommendations on not giving that until a certain age, even then I almost exclusively BF and just pump some for a small stash in case I ever need it. He will usually sleep a good 4-6 hours stretch (occasionally longer) at night so it’s not like I’m up all night feeding him. He gets full on just my milk so why mess up a good system
