@jesussoncurt Why are men so convinced young women around my age (23) would prefer an older man in his 40s+ instead of a younger one? I can tell you from experience, the reason we get with older men is for financial security. Not because we think a middle aged man is “prime” for relationships...

@jesussoncurt Lol go visit r/stepparents and test that theory. Most of those women are kind of jealous of, or have a dislike for their husband’s children.

@dogmahunter I just turned 23, I’m gonna be honest. Guys our age 18-24 who are childless will usually opt out of dating a single mom. It’s a lot of extra work to date us at our young ages. People would rather party or play video games. It’s not impossible though, some younger guys don’t mind...

@beachsidebob I agree. I’m 23 with an almost 9 month old. I’m choosing to stay single for a minimum of 3-5 years so I can focus my attention and energy on the development of my child

@lives4him Yes, and the right man will eventually come along. It can’t be forced.

@jc4us Exactly. At 18, there should be no rush to find a life partner. Even if it took a decade, she’d still be young! It would be easier too, since her kid would be elementary school aged by then.

@touchedbythelight Yes! As a single mom you have to be very careful when you date childless men. They are inexperienced with taking on a father role and some purposely seek single moms to exploit.

@feudum Some guys prefer a single mom with full custody because a lot of men are terrified of “baby daddy drama” even though there are excellent co-parents out there.

@anniew I think it definitely gets easier to date once your kids become old enough to be self sufficient. It’s damn near impossible if they’re under 10.

@apostoliclife My advice: do NOT have more children with her. Find another woman. She is an addict who does not care enough to get sober. I was a full blown alcoholic before I got pregnant at 21 and vowed to never drink again when I found out. Cold turkey. Rehab couldn’t even do that for me...
