I love it when I share some of my favorite tunes with my elementary school girls, and they also like them. So far, these are my “classics” that they also love.

@mandoosethegoose One of my kids has been obsessed with Nightmare Before Christmas since she was 2. She literally took an 8’ outdoor Jack decoration to daycare today. All of her Christmas presents this year will be NBC-related, and the ONLY song she requests is This Is Halloween.

@heislegend All of my music. From birth, we've listened to pretty much only our music - she loves it, some of the first things she watched was live performances on Youtube, seemed fascinated to see where music comes from.

@heislegend My son (11) is way into music. He tends to like metal / hard rock. Favorite bands are Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Pearl Jam, Guns n' Roses, Nirvana, Black Sabbath, and AC/DC. He's also learning both guitar and drums.

My eldest daughter (9) is in a pretty heavy Taylor Swift phase. But she also really likes First Aid Kit. She's also playing guitar and drums.

The two younger ones (6 and 5) are still mostly into songs associated with movies and TV shows, BUT...the 5 year-old's favorite song is "Holiday" by Green Day.

I feel like I'm pretty much nailing it on the musical education front.
