Parents that work off shift hours that transitioned to 1st, how did you do it?

I work 3-11pm and usually don’t sleep till 3-5am. I’ve had this schedule for years and always struggled to fall asleep. I just got offered to go to 1st which is 6:30-2:30. I’d have to be up like 4:30am and leave by 5 to get to work on time. I cannot take a nap when I get home because my 2 year old will just have gotten up from his. I struggle to sleep and don’t want to be consuming 2 energy drinks a day.
 
@jacbar123 Initially it'll suck and you're going to be tired but it sounds like it's your sleep issues are directly related to working an odd shift. I would look into "sleep hygiene" and start really practicing that. Reduce screen usage before bed, go to bed at consistent times etc
