Due in August and just got a nice size haul

My first official baby purchase, $165 for 25 4.0 bum genius , 3 bumgenius aio, lots of inserts and 4 wet bags. I have a few other types of my registry (flip, econobum). Do you have any newborn recommendations? Can I use these inserts for a newborn diaper or do most people do disposable for newborn?

@katehunt977 Prefolds or flats would be good for a newborn and then you can stuff then in the pockets as the mircofiber is probably at the end of its life if it's second hand

@katehunt977 I found the standard inserts bulky on a newborn. I did newborn sized prefolds (or cotton flats!!!!) jellyrolled and snappi’d on, and a flip cover on top. I found that fit really well from 8lb.

Bonus if you use cotton flats - you can just padfold them for an older baby. You avoid the compression leaks you’ll get with microfibre too.
