5 month old won’t sleep unless it’s in my arms

Need help to break this bad habit. My little one will only sleep in my arms at night. I’ve tried time and time again to put him down in his cot but nothing works. What can I do ? Can I let him cry it out ?

@crazzyeyes21 SAME but we are are 4 mos. We are going to either do Ferber or CIO this weekend.
