So glad we did cloth diapers - r/all had a room full of disposable diapers

@mikentexas I cloth diapered my twins from the day we got home from the hospital until they toilet trained. My friends talking about going to the store just for diapers was enough for me to feel secure in my choice. Running a load of laundry will always be easier than loading two babies up to go...

Stash Shot Sunday - For all those that think THEY have too many!

@rodneyc210 My husband made a joke about taking a maternity photo with me in a bathtub full of dipes. I told him there were two problems with that, one that all my dipes fit in the drawers of the change table and two that would mean I'd have to get my giant belly into the bathtub!

Stash Shot Sunday - For all those that think THEY have too many!

@rodneyc210 Oh my gosh, can I borrow your stash? I need to take a picture of myself rolling in dipes and my stash is too small still.

What’s the dumbest thing anyone ever said to you as a twin parent?

@doodlum1 "Well the doctor says it was a hormonal surge after my miscarriage, but I think it's because we fucked twice in one day."

Intro and questions re: Milk and Baby halter kangaroo top and general nursing wear

@theologypoet Nursing tanks are a life saver. I wear them at night, on lazy bra-free days, and for the first 3 weeks PP (until I could afford to go bra shopping). Other than three pretty tops I've been back in normal shirts since about 4 months PP. I just wear a tank under a tshirt, pull the...

    Period cramps

@euxene I had good results with raspberry leaf tea as a teen (at least it was more effective than the obscene amount of ibuprofen I was taking). Yoga also helped. Edit: I should also add the obvious, at least try to seek medical help if it's debilitating. I found my periods are much better...

    Anyone use cloth baby wipes?

@dobsonsdogs I'm on kid number 3 in cloth diapers, I've always used cloth wipes as well, I bought about 200 cheap face cloths when my twins were born. Yesterday I was at the shops and bub pooped a monster poop. I realised I had an emergency diaper in the car but no wipes, so grabbed a pack of...

BFP after period (x post TBAFlineporn)

@eishtmo There are a lot of causes for bleeding in the first trimester that can be mistaken for a period or miscarriage. Definitely check in with your doctor. I had unexplained bleeding my whole first trimester. No haematoma, no loss. Best answer they could give me was "idk. Maybe because...

Food for thought from a twin: naming your multiple bundles of joy

@rhandi My kids have names that sound good together but have absolutely nothing in common. Every time I make appointments somewhere new for them I use the additional comments section on the booking form to say "twin sibling to [other twin name], please do not cancel additional appointment". I...

F the cult-like following of certain carrier brands (Happy Baby)

@coas93 Hey Penny is bananas since she closed down, I have 5 of hers and I could probably sell them for more than my entire Designer Bum stash is worth.

    Toys with staying power

@facundo Wooden train tracks. My 7 year olds lose interest in Hotwheels tracks within a week of receiving them, but the old wooden train tracks always come back out. And they're still in good condition, so the baby can play with them next year.

    Flu Quarantine ramblings

@basabeo We had a scare with measles a few years ago. There was an outbreak at my husband's university before the kids were old enough to be vaccinated. The doctors at the clinic knew our situation, so when he went to ask their opinion on how to reduce exposure risk for the kids they just gave...

Am I the only one who doesn’t sign my girls up for dance classes/extra curricular activities?

@anonymous9299 We put our kids (7yo girl/boy twins) both in Scouts. It's one evening a week (two because they're transitioning from Joeys to Cubs at the moment) plus one or two weekend activities a term. Dance was never on the cards, I cannot be bothered with costumes and hair and makeup. I'm...
