Pediatrician says I’m nursing my 4 week old too often - not sure what to do

@christopher000 Great post on the UNICEF page about the dangers of obsessing over the feeding interval: https://www.unicef.org.uk/babyfriendly/breastfeeding-the-dangerous-obsession-with-the-infant-feeding-interval/ Or as i like to say, babies can’t read books or tell time, so how are they...

    i don’t wanna pump anymore

@kylievaduva123 I’ve seen people say they’ve nursed in both but I think it’s more about the person’s breast size and shape than the carrier!

    i don’t wanna pump anymore

@kylievaduva123 I just noticed the typo, I was NOT coordinated enough to nurse in a carrier. I had the baby beluga wrap and ergo baby 360 and both were great for regular carrying purposes. You can check out a subreddit called r/babywearing!

    Advice please

@godlesstc Glute bridges (lower body, core), planks (whole body), push ups (upper body, core), lunges and split squats (lower body), bear crawls (upper and lower body), clamshells (lower body), monster walks (lower body). Add weights or resistance as needed. Make sure to keep doing mobility work...

    Advice please

@godlesstc The muscle groups I tried to focus on strengthening were core, shoulders/back, upper body, and also worked on my squats. You’ve got a while to go so stay active and have fun!

    i don’t wanna pump anymore

@brandon_d Not at all. I pumped in the beginning for a few weeks because my baby had a hard time latching, as she grew bigger and better at nursing I switched to nursing only and didn’t pump. Milk supply was fine. It’s not a requirement to pump and plenty of people don’t do it. Breast milk is...

    i don’t wanna pump anymore

@brandon_d It’s totally ok to feed baby directly without pumping. That’s what humans did for all of history before pumps were available. You might want to look into baby wearing too, I was NOT coordinated enough to let baby nurse inside a carrier but found the carrier great for naps and when I...

Bivalent COVID vaccine for 9 month old who had COVID at 7 months?

@momof2labs This is the advice from public health in Canada too. The antibodies from illness wane over time so the idea of having a booster at three months is so that the immunity gets “topped up” again.

@katrina2017 How do you get your baby to lay still while being washed, doesn’t he try to sit up or stand up during?

What I’ve learned so far (and wish I had known before beginning)

@lenanais Love this post! A lot of it really resonated with me, my baby was born full term but small and it took about 3 weeks for her to latch (SO PAINFUL) and 5 weeks of triple feeding for me to wean off the supplements. I knew BF would not be easy but it was hard in a way I didn’t expect, and...
