    @fullofredgoo But you should be worried about being worried /s

    @lb11 You can easily stop eating sprouts and but you can't just flip a switch and stop being stressed and be happy. If you do that, you're repressing emotions. Can you decrease stress by taking measures? Of course and you should do that! One of those measures isn't guilt tripping the mom by...

    @lardass Same here. I have anxiety and my biggest epiphany in therapy was to not hold emotions in and "befriend" it. When people tell me to snap out of it it triggers the opposite effect on me.

    @a_living_sacrifice F that! So what are you supposed to do, pretend nothing happened? That sounds healthy

    @mamabdog That sounds accurate, especially because if you say that you have no stress, you're probably repressing emotions. I happen to believe that repressed emotion ends up in a mental breakdown or physical illness

    @bextermojica That's exactly right!

    @phoenixwell Definitely makes you feel like an incubator. I'm sure having a robot mother that sweeps emotions under the carpet is healthy for the baby /s

    @joy_bar Really makes you feel like an incubator, doesn't it? That's another layer to this.

    @bluehicke35 So sorry to hear that. Life happens and women have healthy kids in war zones.

    @annusharma That's exactly right, in therapy you learn that your resistance to feelings makes them worse and all emotions are normal. It's toxic to try to avoid them.

    @katrina2017 That sounds very counterproductive. Again, show me one person who relaxes when they tell them "relax" or someone who stops being anxious when someone scares them. ETA Also, I doubt that study exists, how do you even measure levels of anxiety and who do they measure it against...

    “GeT rEaDy!”

    @richardnm Nah it's mean and negative to the kid. Someone here on the sub suggested a response "oh, sorry it's so hard for you" or even "oh, sorry that you're not enjoying being a parent"

    @lionstigersbears I started responding that it's medically proven that you need to be under insane stress to harm the baby. I tried the argument that bottling up emotions is negative but they don't get it.
