Calling All Moms Who Have Breastfed

@lukester09 I’m not anti-cosleep. But at 19 months, baby needs his own sleep space. So do you. The “stuck” to you, especially overnight, is because of the cosleeping. And much of his behavior is probably because he’s not sleeping well at night. I would focus first on weaning overnight. Then...

    B Belly

@forevereternal It all about the strategic belt placement and underwear that cover your bump & don’t further accent the B. :) Your body is working hard. There are so many things to worry about. The number on the scale isn’t one of them.

I wish I had listened to my gut

@gakelley I hate this invitation but please join us on r/babyloss This is so incredibly hard. It is not your fault. Sending love to you and Evren.

Years of infertility and trauma and now I’m 22 weeks and haven’t planned a thing

@promise1 It’s a process. Making babies is haaaaard. Completion discount = on most registries (for sure Amazon and Target) you get a 15% discount on everything left on your registry after your shower/due date. But, you enter the date so you can put it for whenever, and there’s no validation...

Years of infertility and trauma and now I’m 22 weeks and haven’t planned a thing

@promise1 Same. Around 26 weeks the balance of “prepping is too terrifying” vs. “I need to plan and do” tipped over to planning and doing. Hitting “buy” on the crib was a heavy day. Then… I went nuts and bought everything all at once and the nursery is 60% done at 31w. I lost my son at 31w...

Challenging my doctor’s potentially old school advice on solid food for baby

@the_precious_one Yes. That babies need iron supplements after 6 months is well established. This doctor saying it needs to be cereal from a spoon only is just silly. Love the link, thanks for sharing!

How do you guys handle night time wake ups with newborn?

@striveforclarity Is he literally saving lives at work? If not, “I don’t want to ask this of him while he’s working”, nope, uhuh, stop saying that. You don’t want to ask him what? To be a parent and equal partner? As the working mom with my SAHD partner I can resoundingly confirm my full time...

Overhead Coworkers B*tching About My Pump Sessions

@sierra98loveretail OH, fuck no. Don’t let yourself skip a pump session over their petty bullshit!

Nursing bra recs for extended cup sizes?

@notoftheworld It’s hard to know what cup sizes are since they vary so much, but I’m an F in Cacique and the 2X busty Kindred Bravely fits me in some styles but not at all in others. You might try sizing up and ordering a few styles with the intention to return. I’ve also found that...

Challenging my doctor’s potentially old school advice on solid food for baby

@r3b0rn His entire list of advice is bonkers - 1 & 2 though are 60 years outdated and contrary to WHO & APA recommendations. Like #1 is so egregiously incorrect & harmful I hope you write a review so other parents know he’s not read a single piece of modern research. You keep doing what...

My 5 1/2 Week Old Won’t Sleep Unless We Hold Him

@testallthings Konny Flex Mesh!! Order today. This saved our sanity. It’s developmentally critical for baby to only sleep on you. It’s survival. It’s safety. It’s confidence. It’ll pass. But until then, accept your date of being beholden to baby’s whims. Baby carrying is a huge help!

    Plus size baby shower dresses?

@desiringgod7 If you’re price conscious has knock offs of most of the Baltic Born dresses and a very liberal return policy. May not be the same quality but for an item you’ll only wear a few times, that was fine by me.

    Plus size baby shower dresses?

@hedeliveredme They’re super cute but just a head’s up their return policy is very crappy and surprised me vs. every other online store. Review & consider to make sure it works for you!

Why is my newly 2 m/o sleeping all day today?

@taridayana Growth spurt. Developmental leap. Sleep shift. Coming down with something. Impossible to know. But babies change things up every few days so keep an eye on his food intake, dirty diapers and mood for any other changes, but it’s totally normal to have changes like this.
