    Too Much Protein?

@cherrykot I'm curious why you think you are getting too much protein. I would talk to a registered dietitian and maybe also to your OB. If you are hungry, it sounds like it might be what you need. Also, a pregnant woman who works out is going to need more than a pregnant woman who does not workout.

i’m worried that my eating disorder will come back post partum and I’m really scared

@aiambutasmallvoice I can relate to this so much. I am 33 weeks now, and I struggled with an eating disorder for many years. It has not been easy, but things have been better than I ever expected. First of all, the changes happen gradually so I've had a lot of time to prepare myself for my bump...

I really don’t know how people cope with even one baby

@jesusmypeace I am 4 months postpartum and loving motherhood, but I keep telling my husband that I could not imagine taking care of my infant and another child. Breastfeeding has been extremely difficult for me, and pregnancy was tough both mentally and physically. I feel like I survived because...

Is it normal to be this out of shape? 15 weeks

@jimmie926 Pregnancy makes workouts feel harder, regardless of your fitness. And it sounds like you had some really bad nausea and vomiting, which has also depleted your body further. Be patient with yourself. It would be like if someone had a stress fracture- they would not be able to suddenly...

am i running too much to conceive?

@sahabds My husband and I started trying right after I completed my first Ironman and we struggled. I had anorexia as a teenager and never had a normal period in my life. Even when I got to a healthy weight and was eating enough it did not come back. I ended up with a stress fracture and saw a...

I feel like I need some sense talked into me

@madamimadaminchrist I can relate to this so much. I am 25 weeks now and the slow down has been really hard for me. Some days are better than others, and it is hard just having to go with the flow. Is there some sort of compromise you can reach with yourself? Like doing something lighter. This...

Super early pregnancy but already so tired and STARVING??

@paulebear First of all, first trimester is so much harder than people think. The pregnancy hunger started for me right away. And this is not a time to diet. Your body needs the nourishment to grow the baby. Also a lot of people feel better second and third trimester in terms of energy. I was...

am i running too much to conceive?

@ramseysmom As someone 5 weeks pp who has a long ED history, some doctors are actually sensitive to this. OP, I encourage you be open about your history and persistent in what your needs are. Most of the time the weight taken at OB appointments is not absolutely necessary. They only took mine...

    How do y’all do it??

@stephenk So, one thing I wish people would have clarified when talking about trimesters is that not everyone feels better as soon as they reach 2nd trimester. I know for me, it took until about week 16-17 for me to feel any better than I did first trimester. Also, I think for me, I saw working...

    Running so much slower!

@sherithorb It is very normal for your running paces to slow down during pregnancy, even as early as first trimester. Your body is working hard to grow a human, so workouts are going to feel harder. I ran up until 25 weeks and then I had bad pelvic pain and it was no longer enjoyable. I am now...

    Calories burned while working out

@erinbeery My sports dietitian has always told me to ignore calorie burn metrics. They do not take into account a lot of factors- weather, how much you have eaten (your burn more when you are nourished than undernourished), and other life stressors, like being pregnant. Your body is using more...

Mountain biking + jumps/drops in early pregnancy

@1way7 I found out I was pregnant the week before we were scheduled to travel to Aruba, and one of our excursions was a 3 hour mountain bike tour. I had been so excited and did not want to cancel. My doctor basically said I could do it but that I had to be extra cautious. We were able to drop...
