Study About Babies 3-18 Months

(Big thank you to @larsonmcl and all mods for approving this post!)

Hi everyone!

My name is Belén and I’m with the University of California, San Francisco. We are currently doing interviews with parents of infants under 1.5 years of age to learn about how stressful/scary events impact families with babies. This interview is done through Zoom and we give out a $40 Amazon gift card after. Our mission is to improve services for parents with infants in communities that have been impacted by stress the most.

At the moment, we are only doing this study with parents who:
  1. have a baby currently 3-18 months of age who has experienced something stressful/scary,
  2. live in the United States, and
  3. are at least 17 years of age.
If you are interested, please fill out our quick eligibility survey here: https://redcap.ucsf.edu/surveys/index.php?s=3CPA94LNN9 (select English AND refresh the page). If you are eligible, we will contact you to schedule an interview.

Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks everyone!

@thatwhichwas Many parents who participate in our study have their baby with them during the interview, since of course it's super hard (if not impossible) to have a baby occupied for that long. We can take breaks as needed and your baby can be with you throughout the interview.

@evnwlsn That sounds pretty scary! Feel free to fill out our survey. We include many different kinds of events, that's why we're not specific in our description, but some events we've included in the past have been falls, car accidents, or general events resulting in serious injuries (either to the baby or to a parent), intrusive medical procedures, witnessing fighting in the home, separations from a caregiver, etc. There are many events that will count.
