Non standard mini crib mattress?

Hi! I got gifted a nice hand me down mini crib from my friends. It is solid and has the right spacing etc. I can’t seem to find a brand name on it.

The mattress is in great shape but I’ve heard that it’s better to buy a new mattress. But I can’t find any that fits the size specified.

The size is 37”x23 3/8”x5, most mini crib mattresses are 38x4.

Should I take a chance with a regular mini crib mattress and see how it fits? Anyone know where I can get a custom size mattress?

Oh, it looks like it is slightly long, as my crib is 37”, hopefully it still fits

@dombo You have to be concerned about a used mattress if you can’t confirm if they were smokers (3rd hand smoke on it) or if the mattress is visibly sagging in spots.

If you’ve inspected it, it’s firm, and your friends aren’t smokers… then it’s fine

I bought a used mattress in great shape. Better shape than my SIL’s crib mattress that we spent a week on.
