HCG levels 18dpo / 5 weeks 3 days

Yesterday my hcg levels at 18dpo or 5 weeks 3 days was 663. I’m going to check it’s doubling tomorrow but can’t help but think this is really low. I’ve had two losses before so this pregnancy = anxiety. Has anyone else had level like this at 5 weeks ?

@sandpiper22 Hi! 18 dpo actually corresponds to 4 weeks 4 days I don’t think your hcg is weirdly low actually. Mine was 140 at 14dpo, assuming it doubled every 48h, I’d have less than 600 at 18 DPO. And at 23 DPO I was at 5000. So if yours doubles every 48h, you’ll be past 5000 at 24 dpo.

My pregnancy so far has been smooth and I am at 19 weeks

@kaykay I have PCOS so my periods are irregular, from dating from my last period it’s 5 weeks but it’s very confusing

@sandpiper22 So when your period is not regular, you can count 2 weeks + days post ovulation. Because if you were to compare your hcg with people at 5 weeks + 3 days, your will indeed be lower, but that does not account for when ovulation and implantation occurs. At your first ultrasound your baby might also be smaller than expected counting from LMP, so try not to worry about that!

@sandpiper22 I wouldn’t use LMP, it’ll just stress you out for being “behind” when you are not.

Without any previous data points, all that can be said is that’s a perfectly normal 18dpo beta result. Best of luck for your pregnancy!

@sandpiper22 Hi! So your HCG level is very nice for 18 DPO. I had mine checked at 18 DPO, and was so happy to hear I was at 595 because the first HCG level does not really tell you anything. It is all about your doubling time. As long as your leves are doubling about every 48 hours, then your HCG is trending beautifully.

For example, my Dr. Was very happy with my HCG because my doubling time was less than 48 hours. 14 DPO I was at 94, 16 DPO I was at 209, and 18 DPO I was at 595.

Don't stress!

@newspirit I am so glad you posted this! I have been so worried. 14 DPO was 99 and 19 DPO was 698. Mathematically it’s looking good, but I am just so anxious!

@sandpiper22 I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and at 19 dpo (4w5d) my HCG was 417. My doctor didn’t want to send me for repeat betas in 48 hrs, so I only went again a week later and at 26 dpo my HCG was 5715 or something. All is well as of right now
