Can a 2yr old recognize letters?

@slyanimal Ours did at 10 months. “Show me the J” an she’d pick up the J block. At 11 mon she could recognisably say them all. At 13mon recite them from memory as well as read them. At 15 mon showing she associated objects with their leading letter. Knock on the door - “door, D!” “Mummy cake - C!” pointing in the fridge.

@slyanimal I've been teaching my daughter hiragana (Japanese syllabic writing system) and I'm pretty sure she recognizes a couple of them at 23 months old. It's ahead of the curve but some kids can do it.
