Hi, so this isn’t a cheery one I’m afraid. My sister is 41 and due to give birth next week. She has a history of severe alcoholism and has been hospitalised several times for this. She is on blood clotting medication at the moment. She is due to give birth next month.
I know this is really morbid but having lost one sibling to addiction already I am really trying to prepare myself for the worst. Obviously her pregnancy is high risk. I can’t find specific information about childbirth with addicts, let alone older addicts. What are the chances she’s going to die in childbirth?
I’m sorry I know this is such a miserable way of asking but it’s all I can think about.
