@george_sky_walker I feel like it's engrained due to a litigious American society. If a medical professional gives advice on how to cosleep "safely" and then a baby dies, they risk getting sued.

@8weaponx I struggle with this, because my baby doesn't always use formula. She's 10 months and slowly weaning to solid foods. If you mix the powder formula with the boiled water and leave it to cool in the fridge, is there anything wrong with that?

@mario777 I don't think that's too much or anything! Those are all really cool things and will be a fun Christmas morning. Ohh okay, I didn't realize this was something across brands. It sounds cool! My daughter is only a year, but this would be cool for a future birthday or Christmas I think.

@bharati21 Exactly, which is a terrible system. So, people really need to look into things before they use them.

@ancv328 I have started purposefully not answering for at least a few hours, that way they won't be tipped off when I'm actually in labor and not responding to them 😂 they'll know when we want them to know.

@bharati21 Yeah honestly, I'd encourage everyone to research any product you are recommended or that you add to a registry, are gifted, etc. if you are located in the US. Think about it logically too and if it makes sense to use based on what you know about why certain guidelines are in place...

@brineheart It's definitely tough. Anything I bought secondhand, I marked as purchased on my registry so people thought someone else had already bought it. I know some things are expensive, but I didn't put anything on my registry that I wasn't willing to buy out of pocket. We weren't asking...

@mhbb2 I actually came across an article where researchers picked random brands off the shelf in stores and tested them. Many tested positive for chemicals known to cause birth defects that weren't disclosed on the labels. For that reason alone, I stopped all supplements during pregnancy...
