BF v FF shame and “attachment theory”

@pastorchrisparker My baby has been FF from the beginning. She was a month early and I had hella low supply (pumping 8x a day yielded 3oz a day) so I quit pumping at 7 weeks and went the rest of the way to formula at that point. I am my baby's favorite person. She is very attached to me. If I'm...

TTC in 6 months. Doing research on cloth diaper stash and have questions

@pillze1524 95% of my family would look at me like I'm crazy and try to discourage me from using them because of the poop. When let's be honest, we will deal with poop regardless. Now my sisters and mom would support me 100% in the effort because I've talked to them about it before.

TTC in 6 months. Doing research on cloth diaper stash and have questions

@colin44 Yeah I love that the covers can be reused and that the prefolds are so absorbant. But the idea of having to figure out folds to keep from leaks and fasten the prefold together to make it stick (especially at 2am on 2 hours of sleep) has me wondering if I'd just rather pay extra and do...

    Husband Woes

@chris_2011 Finding out what exactly he's wanting done and making a plan will keep him to the plan and will keep him from creating new things to do to push off having kids.

    Husband Woes

@chris_2011 I think a lot of men don't realize it takes time to grow a baby. They think "Omg we aren't financially ready right now." Well it can take months to even get pregnant and then 9 months to actually grow the child. Have you talked to him about what specifically he wants paid down? See...

TTC in 6 months. Doing research on cloth diaper stash and have questions

@katrina2017 This does make me feel a little better. I was getting discouraged because everything just seemed to be getting so complicated.

TTC in 6 months. Doing research on cloth diaper stash and have questions

@katrina2017 No, I don't have anything yet. I've just been doing research to try and figure out what stash I want once we start TTC in August. I thought about just buying a couple of brands, but everything I've read online suggests to try a lot of brands since you never know what will work for...

TTC in 6 months. Doing research on cloth diaper stash and have questions

@teanacious51 Really?! I did not know that. I will definitely have to check this out. EDIT: Can you send me a link? I'm looking on Kelly's Closet website and I can't find any information on a newborn cloth diaper rental service.

TTC in 6 months. Doing research on cloth diaper stash and have questions

@keath Unfortunately, we don't have a rental service here (small, rural area) so I will have to buy whatever it is I want to try.

TTC in 6 months. Doing research on cloth diaper stash and have questions

@pius79 I honestly hadn't thought about doing prefolds/covers for the newborn stage and then AIOs for after that. Hmm. Something to think about.

TTC in 6 months. Doing research on cloth diaper stash and have questions

As the title says, my SO and I will be TTC in August and I've recently found out that the daycares in our area accept cloth diapers. Can I get some input on my possible cloth diaper stash? I haven't decided yet whether I like the cheapness of the prefolds/covers or the ease of pockets/AI2/AIOs...

UPDATE: How soon is too soon? i.e. should I make a baby or not?

@wessy Are you me? I've been dating my boyfriend for 6 months and we've both already expressed a desire to have children with one another. He already has a son from a previous marriage (he has custody). I'm also divorced (separated September 2015, divorce finalized February 2016). I met my...

Pre-TTC preparations? (Cross post from r/tryingforababy)

@guitarhero1000 I freestyle it. I have asthma so can't do anything hardcore and am usually breathing heavily the entire time. But as long as I'm doing laps for 20-30 minutes I feel like I've accomplished something.

Pre-TTC preparations? (Cross post from r/tryingforababy)

@yodas_prodigy1 I would say acquire stuff as you see fit. If you see a ridiculously good deal, snatch it up. This is also assuming that if you have fertility issues that having a lot of baby stuff around won't be triggers for you. My sister's giving me a bunch of big stuff as soon as we start...
