Can’t Lose the Damn Weight - 2 Years Postpartum

@morirach There is no secret. Here is how I stay lean and in shape. I also want to preface this with it’s a lifestyle and I enjoy exercise and feeling good. If you choose a “diet” and can’t maintain it for life, it won’t work. I track my calories every day. If I want to lose, I make a small...

Can’t Lose the Damn Weight - 2 Years Postpartum

@morirach You can eat carbs and fat and still have a calorie deficit. I was just wondering why your toddler ate differently. We just give ours what we are making for dinner, like tacos, pasta, etc. Sure, sometimes she doesn’t eat it all, but it’s not much different than what we have. My...

@motty No magic, just giving her what we make. We make all sorts of things.

@morirach Why do toddlers need to eat differently than you? They also need healthy food.

Baby is 1 and a half and I haven’t had a period yet. Anyone else? Does it have to do with nutrition?

@olivemcr With my first, mine didn’t come back until 15 months when I was completely done nursing. I had also lost weight below pre pregnancy and I think that had something to do with it as well. Once I was done nursing, I gained 7lbs and got my period lol

    Anyone else hate working?

@liz555 I don’t hate it, but it’s not my identity. It’s something I do to make money which I do like lol. I’m fortunate my job is low stress and flexible.

Should I pull my baby from daycare center?

@zarvinsacdalan That doesn’t sound like the best place. From personal experience, none of that has happened at the daycares my kids have attended. There are better options! They don’t even have TVs in the infant rooms at ours. What’s the point of an infant watching TV?!

How to not be irrationally resentful at husband for getting full sleep every night?

I would sleep 9-12 and my husband would be with baby. I’d then nurse baby and go back to sleep until 3 or 4, then I’d be with baby while husband slept until 8 or 9. He has a flexible job so that helped a lot. He also functions better on less sleep than I do so he often lets me sleep longer.

How to not be irrationally resentful at husband for getting full sleep every night?

@steveepperson I exclusively breastfeed and my husband works while I’m on maternity leave and we absolutely split the night shifts. It should not fall on one person.

STM’s, did you actually “bounce back”?

@onewayjesus I have a chip and M&M habit I can adjust for starters lol. It really is eye opening when you track! Eating more protein and veggies really helps. Sounds so boring but it’s true lol

STM’s, did you actually “bounce back”?

@onewayjesus I’m having the same experience the second time around as well. Felt my fitness come back quickly once I started at the gym at 6 weeks. I’m holding on to some weight though. I’m cleaning up my diet more and making better choices so I’m hopeful that will help!

I’m so tired but I don’t want to quit

@evelynssye Have you considered sleep training? I couldn’t do it without a set routine!
