Annoying comments about my son being small

@charismaticace I'm about to be a third time mom and people hardly make comments to me anymore. I think it's a combo of my great resting bitch face and the fact that I just don't give a shit about their opinion and it shows. My oldest is small for his age, but whenever anyone would say...

Advice on going from 2 to 3

@katrina2017 Last night, my 18mo woke up at 10am and spent two hours losing his mind. And even though I never have heartburn and only get it when I'm pregnant (and I get it REALLY bad), I had bad heartburn. I was like "I think the universe is giving me a reality check." lol

    Lowering food costs

@richie1027 You're amazing! We just went to the farmer's market recently and had a lot of fun. I haven't really made it a habit to go, but I will now because I realized that seasonal stuff there is so cheap and you get more/better than the grocery store. We've talked about doing vegetarian...

Advice on going from 2 to 3

@lotrnut2486 Honestly, I've thought about having a daughter and I think I'd be scared! I'm so used to boy stuff (not that we subscribe to a lot of pointless gender rules, you know what I mean) and I only had brothers and lived with my single dad for several years. I was a total tomboy. But I...

Advice on going from 2 to 3

@lilchevette Aww that's such a great series of events! We already have the mom van, too! Woooo Do you guys ever get time with just your oldest? The babies are still really little so maybe not, but we find that we really love letting him stay up so we can hang out just the 3 of us. We rarely get...

    Pregnant with #3

@1cor1013 My husband got his vasectomy when I was about 8 months. It was funny because every time he complained about being sore, he'd immediately be like "BUT OBVIOUSLY this is nothing compared to what you've gone through and I'm fine and thank you and I love you" lol. I know some people worry...

    Pregnant with #3

@1cor1013 Hey friend! I just had my third baby in May! Here are some things I did in no particular order. I upgraded our garbage can. Lol We kept filling the medium size option from the garbage collector, so I asked them for the big one. I purged a lot of stuff around the house. We end up...

    Lowering food costs

@%C3%98r%C3%A6p%C3%A5 Sounds like you're doing a lot of work! I'm sure they appreciate it. Chest freezers have been out of stock around here, but thankfully I just saw a 5 cu ft one on sale locally and they had them in stock so I snapped one up. I can't wait!

Advice on going from 2 to 3

@theholyroller My parents had a horrible marriage and basically were too busy fighting to think about how to spend alone time with us or help us foster healthy sibling relationships, so yeeeaaah. I'm not worried about ending up like them considering how great of a team my husband and I are.

    Lowering food costs

@itsthethreeonesix I know some people who have bought an instant pot and love it and others who said they lost interest and quit using it, so I think I'd need to make sure I know how I'd use it if I bought one. I tried to make beans from dry before and I honestly couldn't get them to soften. lol...

    Lowering food costs

@andrewwright No judgment, I'm all about that easy button! lol We do usually do like a frozen pizza night each week and get the huge $5 Aldi pizzas that are actually really good. One fun thing that I do to get the kids eating a better variety is to have them "eat the rainbow" and I have my son...

Advice on going from 2 to 3

@ntopcat I'm not a clean freak lol I'm like a "eh, that's clean enough" person. Ha ha but yeah I can see tweens to having babies would be really hard!

How Do I Stop Being a Cranky B*tch

@kaleidoscopeheart If your husband is not helping to find a childcare solution, and instead he is criticizing you for being burnt out uuuhhh I'm not sure he's actually pulling his weight. And criticizing you for being understandably exhausted is NOT helpful. That makes me super annoyed for you...

Advice on going from 2 to 3

@krismabl That's so sweet! My boys are 4 years apart, but my oldest is an extrovert and empath like me, which I think makes it easy for him to connect with his little brother. I don't think it will always be this way, but he loves the little bugger and thinks it's great when lil brother imitates...

Advice on going from 2 to 3

@krismabl I don't worry necessarily about biological sex, but I do have a fear that it's rolling the dice, you know what I mean? We're all healthy and even though my first was a terrible sleeper, both of them have always been just such happy kids. My babies were never colicky or hard to console...

    Lowering food costs

@intuitive I haven't seen the price go up, but I haven't really been paying attention either. Eggs have gone down in price. They are so so cheap now. Locally we can get them for 60 cents per dozen, so 5 cents per egg. To put that in perspective for me, uuuhh, I could buy about 600 eggs for one...

    Lowering food costs

@clavdivs I love all of this. Someone else suggested a Sodastream lately and I'm interested in this idea. We really don't drink pop and thank goodness the kids haven't caught on, but we do love flavored water. My oldest turns down things like pop or chocolate milk or even juice. He says he just...

Advice on going from 2 to 3

@jalexduran I definitely see how being in the US without really any support for parents is harder than some countries that have paid peace and affordable childcare. If we do decide to have another, i want to make sure we have $5k set aside to pay for delivery, a doula, and genetic testing.
