Would you send baby for settle sessions at nursery when there's a d and v bug?

@47ford Glad I’m not the only one 😅 The next abbreviation I could think of was domestic violence and I knew that wasn’t it…

    I’m at a loss

@llg06 Waking to eat 2-3 times a night at that age is incredibly normal. He’s barely even out of the newborn potato phase right now. It should get better eventually without intervention, but you can actively start night weaning once he’s 6 months old. In the meantime, do you have a partner at...

Baby’s new pediatrician told us that formula has no nutritional value 😳

@melzy Came here to say exactly this! Anemia shouldn’t even remotely be a concern here unless the formula doesn’t contain iron for some reason.

Rash due to formula or another allergic reaction?

@stephsgarcia My only thought is maybe eczema, and depending on where you live the change in seasons could be contributing to that. However, I would think a pediatrician could quickly identify that.

Can anyone share a happy story of formula feeding from Day 1?

@mikejh1199 Most hospitals will have RTF formula and disposable nipples available. I’d suggest asking what your hospital has. The nurses suggested I not use the bottles I brought so I didn’t have to worry about extra dishes when we got home (which was absolutely wonderful advice).

Wanting to go EFF but dealing with mastitis and clogged ducts

@loveisintheairkathryn You’ve gotten a lot of great tips here, so I’ll just add that my PCP advised I express just enough to relieve the pressure to prevent mastitis. I couldn’t figure out hand expressing, so I ended up just going bra-free overnight and letting the milk leak onto one of those...

    Frustrated AND TIRED

Preparing for the pitcher method as a FTM

@sarnmere For starters, the pitcher method probably does seem unnecessary to people that don’t EFF. When your baby only has formula, it’s a lot more convenient AND it has the added benefit of limiting the amount of times the formula container is opened throughout the day. For point #4, we...
