For those who have weaned before.

@vl32 I’ve only heard this for people who weaned quickly. I’m sure that produces a massive hormonal drop and throws you for a loop. If you do it gradually, I have not heard this be the case for most, anecdotally. It feels like the natural way to do it, so makes sense.

I’m struggling to know - what’s worth swapping?

@mattiash That’s tough because all nontoxic mattresses are expensive. Hell, even regular ones are. You could try secondhand if you’re okay with that. I think Savvy Rest are the least expensive new ones I can think of but still a lot. Do some research on it yourself but my top brand is Naturepedic.

@benedix We have a loose schedule. It changes a bit every day so it’s more of a general guideline we follow. We tried to go without a schedule but it was a disaster that carried over into bad nights, mornings, repeat for days. She’s definitely the kind of baby it helps. Plus she won’t sleep on...

How do I break feeding to sleep association?

@allfree15 I kind of did the opposite of you—started strong with breaking the association then around 9mo just thought “fuck it, it’s natural” and feed to sleep now for naps and nights. And you know what? Zero difference in her sleep. No better or worse either way. The only difference is it’s SO...

Do you tell your pediatrician you’re bedsharing ?

@person47 She’s never asked but if she did I’d be honest. She’s cool though and this area is very cosleepy. Of all the random moms I meet at the park, in groups, etc. I’d say over half cosleep and are very open about it.
