My supervisor didn’t say I was ok to take the day before my planned c-section off…?

@qork I agree with NaturalEmphasis. She might have had a question about FMLA that she wanted to confirm with HR before giving you direction. I’d just check back in and ask what the status is.

@cedward1 Bette was on my list. Totally fine name!

    Blakely Jo

@littlelilly So I know a Bobbie-Jo. She’s an adult and high functioning and successful. She’s mentioned the bad connotation once but I’ve never seen her get flack for it. So it’s possible to have those initials and be fine. I personally would not do it. How would you feel about Josephine...

@leviishere I like: Callum, Callen, Wyatt, Jasper You might like: Kieran Killian Connelly Connell Fisher Frost Lane Linden Arden Auden Alton Raylan Harlan August Kit Beckett Marshall Boy names are really hard. If nothing feels like it’s sticking, scrap your list. Get out a...

    4 Weeks- don’t judge lol

@milo What I mean about arbitrary rules: from experience, I know people who have skipped names they loved because they felt they needed to choose a name they love less in order for their kids names to match. I actually had a teacher not like me very much because they named their last daughter...

    Help settle a bet?

@jasong83 No, I would not. Harvest is kind of an interesting idea but probably not wearable for a girl. Which brings me to a name I do like: Season. Kurt Russell was married to an actress named Season. It’s different without being too weird.

    4 Weeks- don’t judge lol

@milo That is not how gender works. lol. Penelope Jane is cute and has the same rhythm as Sage. If you love Sage though, I’d pick a name you love over an arbitrary rule.

    Finalizing THE Name

@hoosier63 I didn’t really feel settled with my kiddo’s name until they were old enough to really develop a personality to attach to their name. I’m an overanalyzer and a worrier and battle intrusive thoughts. I don’t think I would have found a name that I’d know for sure was the right one.

    Rate my baby names!

@johnoplata For me, I like your unisex names as boy names. Girls - I’d scratch Siobhan and Cassadee. You have so many lovely options. These are more difficult to spell. Boys - kick out Leonardo.

Friend just named her baby my #1 name

@byanyothername First of all, best of wishes to you. I know this is such an incredibly stressful time. If you find out you’re having a boy, just explain the situation to her. If she flips out about it, then she’s not really a friend anyway. But I will say that I know from personal experience...

    Good or Bad

@curry0 To me, Tillie Mae sounds very southern. It’s not awful but it’s definitely a vibe.
