    @aishalem Man that's nuts for Chicago burbs? I though that Chicago was maybe comparable to Houston for cost of living. We're in Raleigh paying $3k/mo (moved from Austin and have lived previously in Houston), but $3k/mo here is for a fancy pants daycare.

    @gomez2219 To be clear I think that the ex here is probably drinking. But my point is that alcoholics make choices like this despite the fact that they are illogical and have serious consequences

    @werfel It would be very typical alcoholic behavior (even when dry) to resist being "forced" to prove your sobriety. It's incredibly stupid and self-destructive, but it is in the nature of alcoholism to refuse to submit to stuff like that and to constantly be fighting the whole world when other...
