In desperate need of a break but husband won’t let my mom help me

@sam77 I am sorry. He gets to dislike people. He doesn’t get to keep you away from people. Pay attention to that, he might be trying to control you. Also, just lie to him for now. Let your mom help you if you think your baby is safe

@sam77 Does he try to isolate you from other people? Does he complain about your friends, family members?

    What is your weekend routine?

@crouche76 No routine, other than babys naps and meals, but even that is more relaxed. Some weekends are all about going out seeing family and friends, others are about catching up on housework.

How do you accomplish the mindset change to be comfortable/confident in your decision to be a SAHP?

@oddduck123 I think you are leaving out the most important information: what do you really want to do? Also, it is not permanent, if you quit and regret it you can go back. And you can always quit. There is no perfect solution. You have to let something go

Driving 5/ 6 hours (without counting breaks) for Thanksgiving with a 2 month old. Would you do it?

@graced1257 If it was only the drive I would go. But if you cant afford it and baby will be exposed to viruses so early, then I dont think it is worthy it. Can they come to you on another date? You can say the pediatrician said baby shouldn’t travel at all before he has had his shots.
