Sometimes I have regrets and sometimes I don’t

@galinally Yep. I totally get what you are saying. My family is similar. Not sure what will happen in the future (my parents are quite elderly)…it’s been hard because when I was pregnant a few years ago my younger sibling didn’t seem to care. It was sad. I didn’t get that “normal” sibling...

Sometimes I have regrets and sometimes I don’t

@ambassadorforchrist Sending you hugs. Honestly once the kids are older family size doesn’t mean that much. I’m trying to think of it that way. I don’t talk to one of my siblings and talk with my half sister a lot…so it just depends. My parents had another child so I would have a playmate…but we...

Factors that contributed to your OAD decision

@walid373 I’m in a similar situation to you and having been thinking about this myself…we have an 18 month old son after fertility issues and I have some frozen eggs left. Personally, we have had two “oops” pregnancies in the last few years and one was ectopic and the second was an early...

Check out this thread to read how difficult 1 to 2 really is

@servewithlove This was really helpful. I just still can fathom having more than one. We all just go the coughing/cold/flu bug and it hit me and my son the hardest. I couldn’t go into work today because I was so sick which I never miss due to finances.

Anyone want more kids but OAD was ultimately the right choice?

@leonardod Yes I totally get what you are saying. Until having a ton of fertility issues I always pictured having two kids. Then just having one seemed impossible. Now we have a son who is 2 and I am 39, almost 40. Even with frozen eggs for IVF I don’t know if I can handle pregnancy/working full...

Help me think through this "silly" worry? [vacations + OAD not by choice]

@kosherinchrist Hey there. I am sorry for your loss and the things you have gone through health wise. I also have some similar concerns and love this community for the OAD support. My son is almost 2 and I never thought we would even have him, let alone another one, and now the OAD positives are...

Older parents (39F&and43M) thinking about having a second child

@spiritlead2013 We are almost the exact same age and going through the same thoughts! I am 39 and husband is 44. Our son is also 2. My thoughts on another go back and forth daily. I have had two losses over the last couple of years and we will have to do IVF for the second (my choice, since I...

Is it madness to have another baby at 42-43?

@johnl1153 Good luck! Not sure how mine will turn out since it is eggs, but we will see. Lots of pregnancies into the 40s I have heard of.

Is it madness to have another baby at 42-43?

@johnl1153 Not at all. I’m about to turn 40 and using eggs I froze at 34 to have a sibling for my son. As long as you are healthy :)

    Feeling nervous

@chisel Totally related to everything you have mentioned. You wrote it all out so well. I also have a cheeky 2 year old son and had a very rough pregnancy and PP. We have no family help, aside from the daily phone call. My husband is a SAH dad because I have an office I can’t be away from, due...
