    Did r/ScienceBasedParenting just shut down?

@katrina2017 lol same. all I said was that the science was “mixed” (with links! to primary source articles!) and got absolutely slammed for not going along with the prevalent mindset that all forms of sleep training have zero potential negative consequences.

    Best Carrier?

@jeanmedina I haven’t worn it through the summer yet, but my cotton one has been fairly comfortable in Florida so far! and we’ve had days in the 90s with super high humidity already 🫠 I’ve heard the linen ones are even more breathable, but the cotton one has been pretty good for me so far! so...

    Best Carrier?

@xd005 my baby is the same weight as yours, and I love our artipoppe! I wear it probably 4-6 hours a day because my baby exclusively contact naps & it’s the comfiest of my carriers. admittedly, there are probably better carriers out there in terms of ergonomics, but if you want the aesthetic...

Maternity Leave- what would you do?

@xxwunderkindxx my husband & I had a similar situation (with a spring break baby) and used option b. he took off the week before & after spring break, and idk how I would have functioned without him during that time. however, if your mom can help a lot I wouldn’t be scared of option c either! it...

    Best Onbuhimo for farm life

if you’re looking for more of an aesthetic though- maybe a woven tula free to grow or an artipoppe zeitgeist? artipoppes are definitely an investment, but they are so lovely & I reach for mine more than any other carrier I have.

    Best Onbuhimo for farm life

@aractus I would check out the lenny lamb onbuhimo. it’s a buckle carrier so no tails to worry about! full disclaimer, I don’t have one, but I’ve heard it’s versatile for front & back carry!

Desperate to find a good carrier r/babywearing

@realist1981 If you hate the webbing after the fabric ends, maybe give Hope&Plum another chance with their Meh Dai? The Lark is essentially a SSC version of their Meh Dai- it doesn’t have any webbing so it’s just comfy all of the way around.

    H&P Lark Sizing

@mastersb I think it’s just that if you’re in between sizes, the fabric on the straps is too long and it won’t cinch tight enough for a back carry! I’m very solidly a 16/18 & can back carry in my lark without any issues. I think it’s just if you’re more on the cusp the straps might be too long.

Ring sling for baby that dislikes wrap for beach, pool use

@eleader22 it would have to be used to fit in the price range, but hope & plum hemp-blend ring slings are water safe! just be sure to rinse it after chlorine exposure. there are plenty in the $100-range on the brand’s facebook BST group.
