5am wake ups - is this just the norm for some babies?

@eldersmith Temperature of room at that time of day? How are they dressed? I’d bring forward bedtime and have naps totalling 2.5 a day, no more. First nap 9:30-10. Second nap 1-3. Wake at 3. Bedtime 6:30/7. Just my thoughts and suggestion

    I’m in tears…

@bobezeh You’re doing great! Just be careful with sending baby mixed messages. My baby fell asleep at the 32 minute mark the first night. Your baby could have been so close! Keep it up :)

@cesarman This is the exact schedule we were on at that age

Are there any other babies who never had a set schedule?

@benedix In simple, because every child is different. But mostly because their sleep has fallen apart and they are constantly over tired which gets you in a bad cycle. I have always prioritised my child’s sleep to make sure she is thriving and getting the sleep she needs so night time is...

6 weeks old, and I’m ready to crumple

@griffin71 You’re in it, for sure. And it’s not easy. Mine is 2 now, and I can tell you, yes. It’s a phase. This is one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learnt to keep the last of my sanity. Everything is a phase. It too shall pass. We are also in a phase of difficulty with our 2 year old. I...

    What's your 1 nap schedule?

@robwebb Wake 7, nap between 12:30-2:30, Bedtime 6:30. Wake windows 5/6 but probably would go 5/5.5 as that’s still young for one nap

My 1 year old (13 months) is waking up for 4-6 hours at night

@tetra Ok so she’s on two naps and her wake window is 3.5 hours? How long til she’s actually asleep? For two naps the wake windows would normally be something like 2/3/4 or 3/3/4. So there would be about 4 hours or even more at that age before she’s being put in her cot. This is what I’ve...

My 1 year old (13 months) is waking up for 4-6 hours at night

@tetra She’s under tired. Might need to start capping the nap hours. 3 hours total is probably too many hours. What’s the wake window before bed? 6:30 may be too early

9 month old won’t sleep at daycare!

@caminator Wow that’s very strange they do only 1 nap for that age. That is not normal.

@betterthani This is correct. You can’t train through a bad schedule
