Ads and instructions for the Fisher Price Newborn Rock n Play Sleeper

@bharati21 Oh yeah I totally get that and never would have used it - I’m just surprised how blatantly they advertised it this way while adding notes like “supervise” “safest on back” etc.

Ads and instructions for the Fisher Price Newborn Rock n Play Sleeper

@bharati21 Yikesss I always thought they were meant for “supervised sleep” only, which obviously doesn’t work if mum is asleep too.

My 1 y/o is in the hospital with meningitis

@casazzamj It is so expensive! It sucks, because not everyone has the privilege to be able to afford it

My 1 y/o is in the hospital with meningitis

@casazzamj It can cost up to $700 for a course of it in Australia. I paid for it, but for some people the cost is going to be prohibitive. The ACWY is not given to infants in Australia under 1 year old.

My 1 y/o is in the hospital with meningitis

@amourlondon In Australia you can’t get them vaccinated for ACWY until 12 months, and the men-B vaccine is really expensive. Just be mindful not every country has the same schedule as yours

Universal Childcare call to arms! -Mod Approved

@011235813 Yeah, I’m in Aus and we have childcare subsidies but I’ll still be throwing half my salary at childcare when I return to work. It’s a big disincentive for returning to work for a lot of women

Universal Childcare call to arms! -Mod Approved

@011235813 Looks like US given only US time zones have been given. So r/universalchildcareUS might be more appropriate ?

@nenab The more you know! My lactation consultant told me the caloric thing so that concerns me as she’s supposed to be somewhat an expert on the matter!
