    @cmurawski Honestly... when was that time? Looking back at my family tree, even in the 1800s most if not all the siblings survived to become adults.

    @kellypink Ugh. I feel this. I didn't land a job with reasonable income security until I was 32. I married someone in a similar situation.

    @katrina2017 Lol my grandpa got a job to contribute to the family income at 6 years old. They would send him to the local newspaper printing shop and he would melt down the lead stamps used for printing. Who needed childcare when you could send them to work?? Needs were also less... he told me...

    @sillyfool Yeah... it sounds really awkward to call it a tip, as if teachers should be motivated to work harder for a child for what amounts to be a few bucks. Or the implication that families that can't afford large 'tips' for teachers should not have their child cared for quite as well. Or...

    @littlegrain Average sized babies are around 7 lbs, but the normal range is much larger

    Don't be discouraged by all the rosy posts on this sub

    @shatter94 My child is a year old and we sleep trained at 5 months. We still have crying at bedtime nearly every night. Normally it's 2-5 minutes. Occasionally it's 10-15.
