    Called 9-11 on daughter

@jar1437 Check your local county, in the US there are a lot of crisis response teams that are county based. In my state that means mental health trained individuals come to assess and determine if hospitalization is necessary.

Birth by C-section more than doubles odds of measles vaccine failure. Should I test?

@kaferty One thing to remember about statistics and studies like this that doubling the likelihood doesn’t necessarily mean much. For example if there is a 1 in 100,000 chance of something happening doubling that would mean there is a 2 in 100,000 chance. It’s still an increase probability but...

6 months now what’s your normal with night sleep?

@aschreck He started sleeping 10 hours at 8 weeks and then in the last 2-ish weeks upped it to 12 hours. He is 7 months in a week. He had really bad purple crying and when he woke up at 1 am for a feed it frequently took about 30 minutes to an hour to get him to go back to sleep. That shit was...

Breastfed exclusively for 6 months. Is formula ok now?

@endquote I had to stop myself. My son has been on formula since birth. I was able to pump some but ultimately had to stop for my mental health. These narratives just shame moms who choose or have to use formula.

    Y’all, it’s not our fault

@soashamed890 It's correct that babies don't sleep 12 hours without waking. I am not sure where to find it but it shows the shifts in sleep cycles there are times when you wake up (not consciously) and if all needs are met you back to sleep. As an adult I don't remember the last time I slept...

    When do babies get easier?

@molitor Same. My son gets up to about 110 db. Took me 45 minutes to get him to sleep. Always crying/screaming and then passes out.

    When do babies get easier?

@molitor Oh I was wondering the same thing. I had a decent period of quiet, now he is back to screaming or almost screaming. My ears hurt and they ring periodically. He will be 4 months on October 24th. I feel like if he doesn’t stop screaming or almost screaming I am going to go deaf.

    When do babies get easier?

@nicoleqdp This makes sense… what do you do if they have bad reflux? If I take him in the car or on a walk an hour after he finishes eating he will spit up large-ish amounts all over himself (and the car seat). That or he will cry during the entire walk.

3 year old wakes up 2-3 times a night

@boboman You could add a blanket to cover him and then have the comfort blankets for cuddling.

    Challenges of formula transition

@joshdolern No problem. I hope it goes well. My son has always sucked at eating (born 4 weeks premature) so I know how stressful it can be.

    When do babies get easier?

@dennisabram I noticed today that he either got pissed or looked like he was about to fall asleep when he rolled onto his stomach

    Challenges of formula transition

@joshdolern Maybe try going up on nipple size. Could be she isn’t getting it fast enough and gets frustrated. We upped him to the doctor browns 2 earlier because he was fussier when eating. Also talk to doctor to see if gas could be an issue. Simethicone (brand name is mylicon) is basically...

    When do babies get easier?

@dennisabram Not OP, what helped you get there? Both husband and I are depressed because everything feels and seems terrible. I mean I got super excited because he rolled over back to front to back today.
