Would you send your kid to daycare tomorrow?

@lmd0137 Give her something for the fever in the morning and then send her. Technically you shouldn’t do this however losing your job is a much bigger problem. (I say this as a mom who’s kid caught everything when she was in daycare. It sucks but that’s the US.)

Will I regret only having 1 child?

@fallingapart You don’t have a second child to give your first a sibling. You have a second child because your family doesn’t feel complete. Siblings don’t always play well or have compatible personalities.

Need to vent - accused of child abuse

@999forever In all seriousness it’s probably best you consult a lawyer. Find one with family law experience. You probably have nothing to worry about however it’s better to be prepared.

Walk me through your laundry routine! I’ll start

@ava1453 I only combine the kid’s clothes together. Plus throw in some towels wherever. So there’s way less sorting. I throw random kid clothing in the laundry room as I find it throughout the house. I also have a giant washer and dryer. I wash, fold and put away kid clothes during the day...

    Kindergarten Red-Shirting

@jadaley07 Get her evaluated by a speech pathologist and in the meantime I would go ahead and enroll her in both. Most likely she is ready for kindergarten. Some sounds like TH etc are not expected at age 5. I’m rather suspicious that they are hearing age appropriate speech and judging with a...

Am I a terrible wife for not staying up late with my husband?

@jramos1996 Mostly I’m surprised you don’t go to bed earlier. He doesn’t get to dictate your bedtime. Plus I would be very surprised if your early morning schedule is anything new. There’s nothing wrong with being an early bird. As to why he is so upset about it, those are emotions he...

Can’t have a third kid :( please remind me why it’s ok?

@ztalbott Two kids are one to one coverage for two parents. You can easily ride together on most amusement park rides, fit in a car, sit comfortably at most typical kitchen tables, and many restaurant tables. You get to focus more resources on the children you have.

Maternity Leave- what would you do?

@xxwunderkindxx You absolutely are going to want some help. Maybe have him take two weeks with you. I think it’s the best option.

Should I pull my baby from daycare center?

@zarvinsacdalan Pull your child out. There should be no tv in the baby room and no one should be on their phone. I would find a new daycare and then move your child asap.

    No preschool?

@lizzieb90 There is difference between preschool and full time daycare. Full time daycare includes preschool. However there’s preschool programs that are typically two half days a week for much lower cost. The program typically cost for one month less than a week of daycare. Another option...

I am team crib til college. Change my mind

@kevt Glad she’s ok. Thanks for sharing. My oldest I think has the same bed, luckily she doesn’t really move at night. It’s so low that’s it’s crazy to think a toddler could get hurt falling out. However, my youngest that’s going to be moving out of a crib soon, snuggles up to the crib walls...

Turning 30, thinking about quitting law school after my first semester to start a family. Advice?

@ladyghosthunter I think with a plan to have 4-5 kids it depends on what life you want. You will probably be working and need a nanny to do that. If you want to stay at home with your children then it’s probably best to just do that and maybe consider being a paralegal and or law school later...

SAHPs, I Keep Messing Up and I'm Embarrassed. I Need to Fix This

@ajewelinhiscrown They make laundry room posters with a guide to the laundry code on tags if it’s that important. Generally unless it needs sanitizing I wash everything on cold. The blanket may have been unavoidable in getting shrunk. Missing lessons one night is better than going sick...
